Job Title – Quality Controller

The Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring compliance with, and the adequacy of, processes and procedures enacted by the Ground Operations organisation at Prismatic; comprising of manufacturing, Final Assembly and Check Out (FACO) and aircraft maintenance activities. They will work closely with Engineering and Operations personnel to ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) is appropriate and effective to meet product, customer and regulatory requirements – investigating and facilitating the resolution of any product or process nonconformities identified.

Tasks and Accountabilities

  • Support manufacturing, FACO, and Release for Flight inspections, ensuring suitability and completion.
  • Support goods-in inspections and the resolution of identified nonconformities.
  • Manage and review flight and maintenance log books to ensure accurate records of aircraft maintenance, repairs and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and release of manufacturing, maintenance and operational instructions / procedures.
  • Control non-conforming or suspect parts/tools.
  • Facilitate NCR reviews, investigating root cause investigations and driving the resolution of corrective actions.
  • Complete personnel competency assessments and manage authorities.
  • Provide training and support to personnel completing inspection activities.
  • Conduct internal audits and process confirmations.
  • Support tool management and calibration processes.
  • Report Quality performance to senior leadership team, identifying trends and addressing areas of indicated risk.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working within Engineering, Manufacturing and Operational environments.
  • Relevant apprenticeship or degree.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS/EN 9100.
  • Basic inspection experience.
  • Audit experience.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and techniques used for problem solving.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience instigating change and improvements.
  • Experience of working with multiple business areas and managing numerous tasks simultaneously across a range of stakeholders.

Principal Terms and Conditions

  • Post – Permanent.
  • Salary – to be agreed depending on experience.
  • Pension – 10% contribution from the company included.
  • Leave – 25 days plus bank holidays.
  • Working time 37.5 hrs per week.
  • Location – Alton, Hampshire, UK.
  • Start – ASAP.
