Job Title – Logistician

In this role you shall take ownership of the entire logistics chain, ensuring compliance to company and government policy. The operational short to medium term coordination and supervision of safe receipt, storage, pick, pack, dispatch, and transportation activities to deliver customer requirements within timescales set. Also coordinates the planning of logistics activity and the resolution of queries/issues through interface with other teams/organisations. The management of stores to ensure the operational effectiveness of the operations team and the wider company. Adherence to SHE, Quality and other internal and external regulations.

Tasks and Accountabilities

As part of this role you will be responsible for undertaking activities such as: –

  • Managing various stores across the company to ensure operational effectiveness, including stock management, calibration, procedural adherence.
  • Receipt, storage, pick, pack and movement of physical items of a high value across the globe.
  • Compliance with the Part 145 Exposition, its associated procedures and standards, and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify, propose, and implement change as required, whilst ensuring compliance.
  • Ensure all Physical Logistics activities are appropriately documented, and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Compile required reporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Project manage tasks, balancing risks and opportunities, in order to meet defined outputs and deliverables.
  • Ensure Customs regulations are approved with the licenses for delivery and are secured in an appropriate timeframe.

Required Skills; Essential

  • Qualified to degree or HND level in logistics or equivalent experience.
  • Requires in depth knowledge of the workings of a store within an aviation environment inline with Part 145 regulations.
  • Requires planning and expediting knowledge and skills and can demonstrate good experience of using asset tracking / warehouse and planning systems.
  • Relationship building and problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT literacy skills and in-depth knowledge of asset tracking / ERP systems.
  • Support cross-border shipping to any part of the world and cultivate relationships with external partners to ensure we can always fulfil our flying requirement.
  • Liaison with external Logistics specialist companies UK and overseas.
  • Monitoring of all goods in and out to ensure licensing requirements are met.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Required Skills; Desirable

  • Previous experience in establishing logistics procedures and ensuring adherence to policy.
  • Miltary experience
  • Experienced in overseas travel.
  • Experienced in aircraft maintenance records, recording systems.
  • Understanding of secondary tasks associated to maintaining airworthiness.

Principal Terms and Conditions

  • Post – Permanent.
  • Salary – to be agreed depending on experience.
  • Pension – 10% contribution from the company included.
  • Leave – 25 days plus bank holidays.
  • Working time 37.5 hrs per week.
