Prismatic calls upon over twenty years of associates in the Space and Aerospace business to provide a full complement of technical, business and financial support to customers. Prismatic is led by a focussed management team
With over twenty five years of experience in the space and aerospace industry, Paul has led the start up and successful development of a number of innovative programmes including TopSat and the Zephyr HALE UAV and was a director of Surrey Satellite Technology Limited prior to starting Prismatic. With a broad technical and business background Paul specialises in the business management and remote sensing applications of HALE UAV and satellites.
With an outstanding track record for leading the design, development and completion of complex space and aerospace projects, Jonathan has delivered a wide range of demanding programmes including MWIR, Mars Melacom and the World record breaking Zephyr 7 UAV and specialises in project delivery, risk management, communications, power and radar systems. Most recently Jonathan led the Zephyr HALE UAV team in QinetiQ before leaving to join Prismatic and continue the engineering leadership of this programme.
Combining an excellent academic capability with real world experience in aircraft, satellites and astronomy, Darryl provides the necessary link between novel concepts and practical implementation. The original systems engineer for the Zephyr HALE UAV in QinetiQ and one of the founders of that World record breaking team, Darryl returns from a broad and successful career in teaching, engineering and astronomy to lead Prismatic’s development of HALE UAV.
Mike is Commercial Director for Prismatic Ltd. With over 30 years of experience in retail, commercial and high technology business, Mike was also the person to fund and mentor the original Zephyr incubator programme in QinetiQ in his role as Director of Ventures.
Kathryn has worked in the aerospace industry for over 20 years for Surrey Satellite Technology Limited and QinetiQ. Previously Functional Manager for Systems AOCS and Thermal at SSTL, Kathryn has managed teams on the delivery of innovative satellite projects including TDS-1, NovaSAR, TopSAT, DMC-3 TripleSat and many others .
With over thirty years of project management and leadership experience in defence and the space and aerospace industry, David joins us having recently delivered the record breaking Zephyr S project and flight trial. Following a successful career in the British Army, David has augmented his leadership skills with a wide range of project management tools to allow him to deliver complex projects to time, cost and quality.
With 16+ years’ experience in the Defence and Aerospace working on Electronic Systems from most domains, Mark assumes the role of Chief Engineer.
With a broad background in aerospace and automotive engineering and a strong personal background in UAS design, build and operation, Piers lead the development, delivery and test of our ultra-light composite structures.
Christine manages the day to day operations of Prismatic as well as providing administrative support to our customers. Whatever you need, whenever you need it, Christine will find a way.
With a Masters in Aerospace Engineering and various skills developed through his ongoing Army Reservist service, Harshil takes responsibility for delivery and providing technical support on a number of project activities.
Joe joins the System Engineering team to lead the high efficiency propulsion system required for sustained high altitude flight and develop efficient flight control approaches.
Conor joins us to take on the detailed design and build of our critical composite structures.
Gregg joins us to lead the delivery of the PHASE-8 low level testing for PHASA-35 systems and Assembly Integration and test of the PHASA-35 system.
Having completed a four year apprenticeship in 2017 in electronic engineering, Dan now joins Prismatic to work on the design, build and test of our electronics systems.
Following graduation from his Mechanical Engineering degree, Nick completed the graduate programme at QinetiQ and has joined Prismatic to tackle the mechanical design of our critical structures.
John joins us to support the team with his wide range of practical skills and keep our facility in shape.
Jacob joins us from Surrey University to design, build and test our composite structures. Previously a Year in Industry placement with us, Jacob has now successfully completed his degree and is now developing the aero-structural designs of our new UAVs.
Jacob joins us having been a Year on Industry student with us last year. Having successfully completed his degree at Sheffield, Jacob joins our Systems team to develop the overall systems of our new UAVs.
Eleanor takes on the demanding role of developing and managing our powers systems having already demonstrated her value in managing challenging technical deliveries to tight schedules.
Toby joins our aero-structural team as a craftsman, enabling us to rapidly produce high precision equipment for our pace of development and test.
Charles joins us having recently received a First class degree in Mechatronics from Southampton University to apply his skills to the complex software and hardware combinations in our UAV programmes.
Nick heads up the software team in Flight Systems.
Adit joins us after several years in aerospace and heading up his own company developing new space concepts. With a strong technical background and experience in starting new business, Adit joins our business development team forming, promoting and starting up new developments.
James works on the high reliability software required for our long duration UAV and space systems. With a hands-on background in UAV operations - including piloting - and software development, James supports the link between design and practice fundamental to our small company method.
Lee has the joy of putting together our rather demanding electronic and power systems in a way that they are reliable and robust in the challenging environment of our aerospace products.
Leading work on flight control development and simulation, having worked previously on a number of international flight programmes, Steve brings a breadth of control expereince to our novel systems.
Joining us with experience from the MOD's airworthiness division and a masters in aerospace engineering, Mathi works alongside our project teams ensuring the we do what we say we will do to make the systems performant and reliable.
Carole joins us from Exeter University under the UK Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme helping link academia with industry. Carole is developing the next generation of flight control algorithms for high altitude flight.
Elysia returns to Prismatic following a Year in Industry placement with us before completing her degree at Surrey. With expert technical knowledge and glider pilot qualifications, Elysia is another welcome return to Prismatic.
After completing a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Manchester, Arjun rejoins us from BAE Systems specialising in software development on the PHASA-35 HALE UAV.
Having worked with Prismatic on the Woomera flight trail earlier in 2020, Matt joins us on full time secondment to prepare for the next round of PHASA-35 flight trials.
Will returns to Prismatic for a second secondment from BAE as we prepare for the next round of flight trials and transfer to initial production.
Michael rejoins Prismatic after successful completion of his engineering degree. Michael previously completed a Year in Industry Internship with us.
Richard returns to Prismatic after previously completing a year long secondment from BAE systems with us. Richard joins the projects team.
Paul has recently joined Prismatics Aerostructures team after completing an MEng at the University of Surrey in Aerospace Engineering.
Jonathan is highly experienced engineer in the UAV field, he joins Prismatic to use his experience to support our projects delivery.
Jose joins us from Embentian in Spain, and becomes part of our system engineering team.
Darcy joins the system engineering team after completing her Masters in Condensed Matter Physics at Leeds University.
