We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join our growing aerospace business based in Alton, Hampshire. This multi-site role will provide comprehensive support to the Head of HR, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality HR service across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant or HR Administrator looking for their next career move. This is a broad and hands-on role and you’ll be involved in all facets of HR and the employee lifecycle, offering guidance to managers, supporting our employees, and helping to drive best HR practice in a dynamic and evolving environment.

You will be part of a supportive and collaborative HR function in a growing business.  There will be exposure to a wide variety of HR generalist work and project involvement, thus there will be opportunities for development and progression.

Tasks and Accountabilities

HR Administration

  • Support the Head of HR with generalist HR tasks, PA support e.g. diary management, and project work.
  • Responsible for the administration of the Prismatic HR and recruitment email inboxes in line with the SLA in place.
  • Manage and maintain employee records as well as HR systems and tools e.g. the HR Information System (Breathe) and on the HR network drive.
  • Prepare HR documentation including contracts, variations, and policy updates.
  • Produce reports and data analysis as required using HR systems and Excel.
  • Maintain and update the Prismatic SharePoint site for the HR function.

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Collecting and verifying time booking and attendance records.
  • Assisting with payroll preparation and liaising with the Finance Team and the payroll provider.
  • Supporting the administration of employee benefits (e.g., pensions, cycle to work, green car scheme etc.).

Employee Relations

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees across both sites, serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Assist in employee relations matters (note taking, drafting letters, absence tracking etc.).
  • Support the Head of HR to resolve workplace issues and escalating when needed.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and surveys.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Posting job advertisements and coordinating with recruitment agencies.
  • Screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Assisting with interviews and candidate evaluations.
  • Preparing job offers and contracts.
  • Organising and conducting new hire onboarding.

Performance Management

  • Support performance review and appraisal processes throughout the year.
  • Coordinating employee training and development activities.
  • Maintaining performance and training records.

Policy & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and employment legislation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
  • Supporting audits and compliance reporting as required.
  • Ensuring the employee guide and policies are communicated and followed.
  • Supporting compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

Employee Engagement       

  • Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.  Playing an active role in the Prismatic Pulse employee engagement team.
  • Assisting with organising colleague events, wellness initiatives, or team-building activities.

Requirements

 Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a HR Assistant or HR Administrator role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Confident using HR systems (Breathe HR experience desirable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High standard of customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Able to work at pace, managing multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • A collaborative and approachable team player with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • The role overlaps with administrative and operational support, making flexibility and strong organisational skills essential.
  • Own transport essential. Due to the nature of the role, occasional travel between our sites is required.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or currently studying toward this.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace environment.

 Principal Terms and Conditions

  • Start – ASAP.
  • Location – Alton, Hampshire, UK.
  • Post – Permanent.
  • Working time 37.5 hrs per week.
  • Salary – to be agreed depending on experience.
  • Pension – 10% contribution from the company included plus a Salary Exchange for AVCs.
