Job Title – Mechanical CAD Draughts person

We are currently looking for an Experienced Mechanical CAD draughts person to join Prismatic Ltd. based in Alton. This will be an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, but growing, team working on exciting new Unmanned Air Vehicles.

As part of this role you will be responsible for undertaking activities such as: –

  • Taking Concept designs and ensuring they are CAD in the correct standards to ensure model stability
  • Production of detailed Technical Drawings to form Drawing Packs for manufacture starting from scratch in some areas.

We are looking for people with the following attributes: –

  • Taking Concept designs and ensuring they are CAD in the correct standards to ensure model stability
  • Production of detailed Technical Drawings to form Drawing Packs for manufacture
  • 10+ years’ experience in a CAD operator role
  • Previous experience of being a PDM admin.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of GD&T
  • Both Surface and Solid Modelling experience
  • Experience of layup drawings for complex carbon fiber and performance foam parts and assemblies
  • Take ownership of the CAD systems and detailed drawing packs and ensure its quality and remains up-to-date.
  • Must be able to work autonomously, but within the larger team.
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Familiarity with electronic harnesses and PCB assemblies would benefit this role, but previous experience is not essential.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written.

  • Post – Permanent.
  • Salary – to be agreed.
  • Pension – 10% contribution from the company included.
  • Leave – 25 days plus bank holidays.
  • Working time 37.5 hrs per week.
  • Location – Alton, Hampshire, UK.
