History

Prismatic Ltd. was founded in October 2011 by Paul Brooks and Jonathan Dixon – two aerospace and space industry leaders with over two decades of experience in developing and delivering ground-breaking aerospace and space technologies, having held senior positions at innovative space and aerospace companies in the uK such as QinetiQ, Airbus, and Surrey Space Technologies (SSTL).

Before developing the PHASA-35 HALE UAV, the Prismatic team had been instrumental in developing the Zephyr aircraft as well as its commercial business, which includes leading its transfer from QinetiQ to Astrium (now Airbus Defence and Space), conducting several flight demonstrations for UK MoD and other government customers.

Prismatic has developed the PHASA-35 UAV since 2017 and has successfully completed its first flight in February 2020 in Australia with BAE Systems. In August 2019, BAE Systems took on a significant investment in the company and is now a majority stakeholder.

Prismatic has also developed other novel UAVs such as the LASA-5.
